Come one, come all, to see the US Bank Fireworks at the Lakefront to celebrate Independence Day! This year the celebration will take place on Monday, July 3rd starting at dusk.
“Watch the skies light up the lakefront in Milwaukee for 60 minutes of ‘oohs and aahs.'” The crowd will enjoy a fireworks display that will be an hour-long overlooking Lake Michigan. The Milwaukee Police Department and the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department will be closing access to N. Lincoln Memorial Drive, so they are advising attendees to arrive early.
If you want to make a day of the festivities, there will be the Fireworks Kite Festival starting at 11 a.m. on July 3rd, as well. Certain areas of Veteran’s Park have been set aside for kite-fliers to enjoy the open skies, thanks to Gift of Wings. The Fireworks Kite Festival will take place until 9:00 p.m., just before the fireworks show, with a quick break between 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Don’t miss either of these Milwaukee traditions to celebrate the 4th of July!
