Do you like the smooth sound of jazz music? Do you enjoy spending summer nights outside in downtown Milwaukee? If you answered yes to these questions, Jazz in the Park is the perfect event for you!
Every Thursday evening you can head down to Cathedral Square Park from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. to be entertained by popular jazz artists, free of charge. Don’t miss out on this Milwaukee staple because Jazz in the Park only goes until August 31st.
If you wish to enjoy food from popular Milwaukee restaurants and drink while you listen to the music, you can! Restaurants like Flannery’s, Press., Vagabond, Louise’s, and more vendors will be at Jazz in the Park. As a reminder, you can purchase wine, beer and cocktails at the event. All of the proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization, EastTown Association.
If you stop by tonight, you will get to see the Latin group, Clave y Afinque. This “musical group was created by Jesus “Joey” Burgos, considered the best Latin vocalist in Milwaukee WI”. Joey Burgos grew up in Milwaukee, but traveled to Puerto Rico where he recorded with famous groups, like Tempo 74. Once he built up his career, Mr. Burgos returned to his hometown where he “continues to impress with his great music by creating the salsa group Clave y Afinque”.
