The cost is $12 for AARP members, $14 for non-members. Pay by check or cash the day of the class. Participation may earn you an insurance discount, check with your insurance carrier.
The AARP Driver Safety course is intended course is intended to provide all drivers, especially those age 50 and older, with a classroom and online course that helps them improve their driving skills, drive safely, sustain mobility and maintain independence!
In this four-hour course you will learn:
- Steps for driving roundabouts
- Managing dangerous blind spots
- Proper following distance behind another car
- Safe ways to change lanes and make turns at busy intersections
- Proper use of safety belts, air bags, anti-lock brakes
- Managing the effects of aging on driving
- Eliminating distractions while driving
- Effects of medications on driving

Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on March 9th, 2013, stepping off at noon at 3rd and Wisconsin and finishing at Water and Highland.Join us for one of the best St Patrick’s Day Parades in the country and the grandest parade in Wisconsin. The Parade will feature 140+ units and includes local politicians and celebrities, floats, bagpipe and marching bands and Irish and Celtic organizations. And on St. Patrick’s Day, everyone is Irish!The 47th Annual Parade is presented by Westown Association,The Shamrock Club of Wisconsin and Killian’s Irish Stout.

The Blarney Run/Walk
Saturday, March 9th
3.1-mile (5K) run or 2-mile walk
Hosted by the Wauwatosa Historical Society
The registration fee includes a t-shirt and freebies.

The first 800 Blarney Run/Walk participants will be guaranteed a special commemorative long-sleeved T-shirt with an exclusive design.
You can also register at advance registration prices during packet pickup 4-7pm Friday.
Awards for the Blarney Run/Walk will be given to the overall male and female winners, the first three males and females in each age group, and the top wheelchair finisher. Results will be posted and awards will be presented immediately after the race in the Wil-O-Way Center.
